my best friend maddie and i spent the majority of our day today rummaging through the racks of buffalo exchange and goodwill. lucky for us, buffalo bought a number of our items that we brought in to sell so we were able to use store credit towards our purchases. our first trip to the fitting room was a complete failure but our second round of clothes was a success. i came up on a gorgeous brown suede high-waisted skirt, an adorable sheer tank with a faux-bow back, a yellow chiffon oversized button up (we agreed to split the cost of this one because we both fell in love with it), a pair of black silky shorts with a scalloped hem, and a pair of acid wash distressed denim shorts. my grand total came out to $16!!!!! (mind you i had a $36 credit and a $5 coupon).
after we scored at buffalo and stuffed our faces with sonic we made our way to goodwill. we were equally successful here, although most of my items are very similar. i don't know what it is with me and button ups, but lately i've been digging them more than usual. i found a red oversized, quarter sleeve button up, a purple sleeveless button up, an orange short sleeve button up, and a white oversized sweater. i spent a whopping $22 on these four pieces!! i miss thrift store shopping, although i do pop into buffalo at least once a week when i'm at work. a few tips when thrifting: make sure you have time on your hands and patience, you'll be sifting through a lot of tacky clothes. get creative with the clothes, think about the different ways you can wear the pieces. and most importantly have fun!!
